Gonzaga senior forward Kiara Kudron has been selected to join the NetScouts Baskeball USA Women’s all-star team for a nine-game series in China.

The team will play in three cities against the national teams of China and Lithuania as well as an All-Star team from Canada.

The team will play three games in round-robin matches in Weng’an from April 28-30, Tongren from May 2-4 and in Jiahe from May 6-8. The team will depart from Los Angeles on Monday and return to the United States on May 9.

The team will be coached by Perry Huang, previously with Santa Cruz of the NBA D-League and assisted by Carl Berman of NetScouts Basketball and D’shara Strange of Montana Tech.

In her final season at GU, Kudron was named to the All-West Coast Conference First Team as well as to the WCC All-Tournament team after helping lead Gonzaga to the conference title and an NCAA bid. She averaged 9.9 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists for the season.

Earlier this month, Kudron was named to the Women’s Scholar Athlete Team announced by the DI-AAA Athletics Directors Association.

She is the fifth Zag to be honored with the award in program history, and third under head coach Lisa Fortier, joining Shelby Cheslek from last season and Sunny Greinacher from 2015.
