Liberty Ciderworks celebrates its third anniversary Saturday

Liberty Ciderworks is celebrating its third anniversary Saturday by expanding its offerings and holding its third annual Cider Splash.

Beginning this month, the downtown taproom and production facility will add award-winning ciders from Europe and North America. That’s more than 30 bottled ciders and three guest ciders on draft.

“We’re proud of our ciders, but we also want to grow appreciation for the flavors and unique characteristics of cidermaking traditions from around the world,” co-owner Austin Dickey said in a news release. “It just seemed like a natural fit for us to source and stock rare, award-winning ciders for our customers here in Spokane.”

To celebrate the expanded offerings and third year in business, Liberty is hosting its Cider Splash from 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 22, with extended hours, discounts and giveaways, plus an appearance by the Couple of Chefs food truck.

Liberty Ciderworks opened in 2014 and distributes cider in bottles and kegs in Washington and Oregon as well as online sales to 37 states.
