The Dirt: New, $4 million Trinity Catholic School to be built

St. Anthony Catholic Parish is building a new Spokane facility for Trinity Catholic School, which has students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade.

The $4 million school project, at 2315 N. Cedar St., is designed as a two-story, 22,000-square-foot building with spaces for classes, administrative offices, childcare and multipurpose area. The site is on a little over half an acre, near the existing Trinity school that faces Montgomery Avenue.

Once the new structure is built by Garco Construction, the old building is expected to be replaced by a new gym and parking areas. A playground will be on the grounds of the new school.

Garco has started some site work, and the school is expected to open by December.

Wells Fargo branch underway

Construction of a Wells Fargo branch is underway in north Spokane.

The 3,200-square-foot bank branch, expected to open July 17, joins other new tenants including a Mod Pizza outlet in an updated retail strip at 9405 N. Newport Highway. Wells Fargo will move a branch from 7404 N. Division St. to the new Newport Highway location.

Baker Construction & Development, of Spokane Valley, is the contractor.

Retail renovation begins

Tenant improvements have started for a Sportsman’s Warehouse near the Spokane Valley Mall.

A $1.5 million renovation of the former Sports Authority retail space, at 15118 E. Indiana Ave., will create new interior finishes, restrooms, a break room, storage, offices and updates to mechanical and electrical systems.

Utah Cameron Construction Co. is the contractor.

Holy Family upgrades electrical

A $2.1 million project will update provide electrical upgrades for Holy Family Hospital.

Contractor Power City Electric, of Spokane, will replace switchboard equipment and install a new electrical room in addition to other updates.

Plan B Office moving

Plan B Office LLC has purchased two units in downtown Spokane for a move.

The company purchased a 5,000-square-foot space at 401 W. First Ave. from its previous owner, Tin Roof.

Chad Carper and Colin Conway, of Kiemle & Hagood, represented the seller. Steve McIntosh, of Kiemle & Hagood, assisted the buyer.
