Orofino man arrested on child porn charges

By Kathy Hedberg Lewiston Tribune

OROFINO – An Orofino man was arrested Wednesday and charged with five felony counts of possession of sexually exploitative material.

Stanley O. Schilling, 26, is expected to make an initial appearance in Magistrate Court here today. He was booked into the Clearwater County Jail and bond was set at $100,000.

According to the criminal complaint, Schilling allegedly had in his possession photographs or recorded images of two girls – one between the ages of 2 and 3, the other between the ages of 7 and 10 – in sexually explicit poses, some with an adult male in the background.

The Idaho Attorney General’s Office issued a news release stating the investigation into the case began in January after the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children Unit received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The unit was assisted by the Orofino Police Department, Clearwater County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office, Moscow Police Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
