Risch condemns ‘hateful acts of racism,’ white supremacy

Idaho Sen. Jim Risch this afternoon issued a statement condemning the “hateful acts of racism” in Charlottesville over the weekend. Sen. Mike Crapo and 2nd District Rep. Mike Simpson issued statements yesterday; 1st District Rep. Raul Labrador’s office still hasn’t responded to repeated requests for his comments. Here is Risch’s full statement:

“The hateful acts of racism we witnessed in Charlottesville this weekend are reprehensible and I condemn them in the strongest terms. White supremacy - and every other form of prejudice - does not represent our American values. Vicki joins me in praying for the families of those who lost their lives and for those who were injured.”
