Wild turkey hunting clinic limited to first 20 enrollees
HUNTING — A free clinic on the basics of hunting wild turkeys will be presented by a Washington Fish and Wildlife Department wildlife biologist on Sept. 13 limited to the first 20 people who sign up.
Joey McCanna, a veteran hunter, will conduct the three-hour program starting at 6 a.m. at the department’s regional office, 2315 N. Discovery Pl. in Spokane Valley.
McCanna will cover natural history and management of turkeys in Washington State as well as equipment and techiques needed to hunt them. Information on local geographic areas where turkeys can be found will also be provided.
