Safety in photos

Every summer several people drown or have to be rescued to prevent drowning in the Spokane River. I was disappointed to see a photo of a young lady and her dog on a paddleboard without a life jacket or other flotation device highlighted on the front page of the Aug. 5 Spokesman-Review. In the future, I hope The Spokesman-Review will consider safety issues before publishing a photo.
