Disaster cleanup, restoration franchises become one

The owner of an area ServPro restoration and cleanup franchise has added another, ServPro Industries has announced.

Collville native Steve Knight, founder and owner of ServPro Northwest Spokane, has acquired South & West Spokane County franchise, the company said in a new release. The purchase, which was formalized June 1, creates the region’s largest disaster cleanup, restoration and recovery business, the release said.

ServPro of South & West Spokane County was opened in 1992 by Mark and Sharon Johnson.

The two franchises, which will retain their names and respective service territories, employ a total of 35 to 40, Jess Hockett, the franchises’ director of sales and marketing, said Friday.

ServPro responds to property damage emergencies ranging from small individual incidents to multimillion dollar-loss situations.
