Spokane Chiefs sign forward Adam Beckman

From wire reports

The Spokane Chiefs announced on Monday they signed forward Adam Beckman to a Western Hockey League Standard Player Agreement. Beckman was the Chiefs’ fifth round (96th overall) pick in the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft.

“We came into training camp with high expectations for Adam and he did not disappoint,” said Chiefs’ General Manager Scott Carter via press release. “He worked hard and proved that he is ready to make the next step. We are very excited to have him as a part of the Chiefs organization.”

Beckman, 16, is 6-foot, 160-pound center from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Last season with the Battleford Stars of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA League, he scored 15 goals and 26 assists for 41 points in 44 games.

He scored a goal and added an assist in the Chiefs’ annual Red-White Game on Sunday.
