Spokane man dies in vehicle crash near Priest River

UPDATED: Sat., Dec. 9, 2017

A Spokane man died Friday night after crashing his vehicle near Priest River, according to Idaho State Police.

Around 9:20 p.m., 29-year-old Andrew Blum lost control of his 2002 Mazda Tribute while negotiating a curve on Durfort Road, police said, and flipped his car after hitting a ditch.

Neither Blum nor his passenger, 32-year-old Jerold Paulus, were wearing seatbelts, police said.

Both men were transported to Bonner General Hospital, where Blum succumbed to his injuries.
