Staffing changes in Idaho Panhandle National Forest

The Idaho Panhandle National Forest has a new acting forest supervisor: Holly Jewkes. Jewkes replaces Mary Farnsworth, who recently became the deputy regional forester for the intermountain region in Ogden, Utah.

Currently, Jewkes is the deputy forest supervisor for the Willamette National Forest in Oregon. She started her forest service career working seasonally in fire management. Jewkes will start work in Idaho on Jan. 15, according to a news release.

Felipe Cano was announced as the new Priest Lake District ranger on Tuesday. Cano grew up in Kellogg.
