IUPUI’s Aaron Brennan poses inside threat to Gonzaga

IUPUI relies on a balanced attack and doesn’t have a statistical standout, but senior forward Aaron Brennan has been a steady contributor.

Brennan is the only Jaguar to start all nine games as coach Jason Gardner has experimented with six different starting lineups. The 6-foot-6, 225-pound Brennan has made 51 career starts. He averages a team-high 12.9 points and has had two 25-point efforts. He’s averaged 18 points in IUPUI’s two wins, but he struggled against Washington State (eight points, 3 of 8 shooting) on Saturday.

Gonzaga will have a height advantage with 6-9 Johnathan Williams or 6-10 Killian Tillie likely defending Brennan at the outset. Brennan tosses in an occasional 3-pointer (eight in nine games) but he’s highly efficient (57 percent) on 2-point attempts. Brennan made 47 percent of his 3-point attempts last season.
