North Spokane hair salon damaged in early-morning fire
UPDATED: Thu., Dec. 21, 2017
A north Spokane hair salon went up in flames Thursday morning.
Spokane firefighters were called to a fire at Fantastic Sams, at 6230 N. Division St. at about 9 a.m., which was immediately upgraded to a working fire and then a second-alarm fire, said Deputy Fire Chief Mark John. About 14 crews from the Spokane Fire Department and Spokane County Fire District 9 responded, knocking down the fire within 30 minutes.
John said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
No other businesses along the strip mall where Fantastic Sams is located were damaged by fire, John said. They may have sustained water and smoke damage.
There were no injuries. Firefighters believe the business was not occupied at the time of the fire.
