Boys basketball: East Valley beats Colville behind 18 points from Adreyan Hargrave

Adreyan Hargrave scored 18 points and East Valley (1-8) beat Colville (3-5) 54-38 in the Eagle Holiday Classic at West Valley HS on Wednesday.

Devin Lembcke scored 11 points for the Indians. Collin Zurfluh added nine points for the Knights, while shooting 1 for 4 from the free-throw line.

Both teams shot less than 29 percent from the free-throw line.

Sandpoint 48, Davenport 45: Robbie Johnson scored 20 points and the Bulldogs (5-2) defeated the Gorillas (3-5). AJ Floyd led the Gorillas with 20 points. TJ Davis and Alex Stockton each scored eight points for the Bulldogs. Jaden Flett had 12 points for the Gorillas.

Kettle Falls 60, Riverside 55: Matthew Thompson scored 23 points and the Bulldogs (3-4) beat the Rams (1-7). Kory Cross and Thaddeus Trepanier led the Rams with 14 points. Dakota Crumpler added 18 points for the Bulldogs.

Liberty 82, Okanogan 73: Justin Jeske scored 18 points and the Lancers (4-1) beat the Bulldogs (6-2). Jeske was one of five Lancers to score in double figures. Thomas Redder had 17, Isaak Ottmar 16 and Juwuan Nave and James Heer 13 apiece. For the Bulldogs, Martin Grooms led all scorers with 22 points.

Timberlake 70, Tonasket 47: Colton Counts scored 19 points and the Tigers (4-6) defeated Tonasket (5-3). Jordan Hardy added 11 points for the Tigers. Jack Montowski scored a game-high 22 points for Tonasket.

St. George’s 83, Colton 34: Mitchell Ward and Ben Adams each scored 15 points and the Dragons (7-0) beat the Wildcats (0-7). Matt Wolf had 16 points for the Wildcats. Both Xander Werkman and Erik Farias added 12 points for the Dragons.

Newport 56, Pullman 39: Danny Bradbury scored 19 points and the Grizzlies (5-1) beat the Greyhounds (7-2). Isaiah Strong led the Greyhound with eight points. Koa Pancho added nine for the Grizzlies.

Hanford Holiday Tournament

Mt. Spokane 62, Hanford 58: Jerry Twenge scored 18 points and the Wildcats (6-2) beat the Falcons (6-3). Freshman Tyson Degenhart finished with 12 points for the Wildcats and went 8 for 8 from the free throw line.

Shadle Park 56, Pasco 43: Brock Leinweber scored 13 points and the visiting Highlanders (5-4) beat the Bulldogs (1-8). Kashon Tate led the Bulldogs with 16 points with three 3-pointers.

Lake City Invite

Lake City 60, Mead 51: James Carlson scored 20 points and the host Timberwolves (3-4) defeated the Panthers (2-6). Hunter Schaffer added 13 points for Lake City, making three 3-pointers. Isaiah Saldana led the Panthers with 13 points.

Columbia River 53, Post Falls 46: Jacob Hjort scored 20 points and the Chieftains (6-2) defeated the Trojans (4-4). Hjort made six 3-pointers and Colby Gennett led the Trojans with 14 points, making four 3-pointers.

Coeur d’Alene 60, South Kitsap 45.

Torrey Pines Holiday Classic

Genesis Prep 52, El Cerrito (California) 50: Jonny Hillman scored 23 points and the Jaguars (5-2) beat the Gauchos (4-7) in San Diego. Hillman scored eight points in the fourth quarter to help the Jaguars hang on. Max Reidt and Junior Williams added eight points apiece for the Jaguars.
