Girls basketball: Hailey Marlow scores 18 points and co-host West Valley wins at Eagle Holiday Tournament

Hailey Marlow scored 18 points and tournament co-host West Valley (5-4) beat Bonners Ferry (7-2) 63-55 in the Eagle Holiday Classic at West Valley High School on Wednesday.

Miranda Wenk led the Badgers with 18 points. Jillian Taylor added 15 points for the Eagles. Kadi Bateman was the Badgers’ second-leading scorer with 14 points.

Lakeside (WA) 62, Tonasket 32: Sienna Swannack scored 22 points and the co-host Eagles (5-3) beat the Tigers (4-4). Lakeside made 26 field goals to the Tigers’ 11. Hallie Jensen added 17 points for Lakeside while Madilynn Larson led Tonasket with 12 points.

East Valley 63, La Salle 53: Genesis Wilkinson scored 14 points and the Knights (9-0) defeated La Salle (4-3).

Faith Adams added 13 points for East Valley, making both of the team’s 3-pointers. Kamryn Fiscus led the Lightning with 17 points while Natalie Mungula added 10.

Deer Park 51, Lakeland 34: Payge Rose had 15 points and the Stags (4-3) defeated the Hawks (2-8). Mel Loutzenhiser led the Hawks with nine points. The other double-digit scorer for the Stags was Jojo Bunch with 10 points.

Sandpoint 44, Pullman 40: Grace Kirscher scored 32 points and the Bulldogs (4-3) defeated the Greyhounds (2-7). Hirscher made four 3-pointers and shot 4 of 7 from the line. Meghan McSweeney led the Greyhounds with nine points.

Riverside 51, Kettle Falls 38: Olivia Willis scored 17 and the Rams (3-6) defeated the Bulldogs (3-5). Riverside made 20 field goals while KF had 11. Brittney Nortz added 13 points for Riverside while Zarah Johnson led Kettle Falls with 12 points.

Cheney 66, Rogers 22: Maggie Smith had 20 points and the Blackhawks (4-3) defeated the Pirates (1-8). Holly Flynn tacked on 12 points for Cheney, while Akon Aleu led Rogers with 16 points. Cheney made nine 3-pointers, six by Smith.

Okanogan 45, Selkirk 38: Jada Rasmussen scored 16 points and the Bulldogs (4-4) beat the Rangers (7-2). Kendra Sachse added 14 for the the Bulldogs. Jenna Couch led Selkirk with 21 points, making four 3-pointers and all five of her free-throw attempts.

Cashmere 74, St. George’s 34: Hailey Vanlith scored 36 points and the Bulldogs (8-1) defeated the Dragons (5-2). Cici Berquist led the Dragons with eight points, hitting two 3-pointers.

Hanford Holiday Classic

Gonzaga Prep 62, Hanford 20: Demi Howlett scored 14 points and the Bullpups (5-3) defeated the Falcons (1-8). Mia Scelfo added nine points for the Bullpups.

Pasco 54, Shadle Park 47: The Bulldogs (5-4) outlasted the Highlanders (2-7).
