Stagnant air causing health concerns in Salmon area

SALMON, Idaho – Idaho officials say air quality is in the unhealthy range in the east-central Idaho town of Salmon and surrounding area due to stagnant air that has elevated pollutant levels.
The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality on Friday says air quality is in the unhealthy range and residents should limit heavy exertion and time outdoors.
The agency says sensitive groups should stay indoors.
The agency says all outdoor burning is prohibited, but there are no restrictions on woodstove burning.
