Sat., Feb. 4, 2017

Junior guard Nigel Williams-Goss didn’t start in Gonzaga’s game against Santa Clara on Saturday the McCarthey Athletic Center.
Williams-Goss sprained his ankle in the first half of Thursday’s win over BYU. He scored 24 second-half points to lift the top-ranked Zags to an 85-75 win but his ankle has been bothering the last two days.
Junior guard Silas Melson replaced Williams-Goss in the starting lineup.
Williams-Goss didn’t go through warm-ups with his teammates prior to the Santa Clara game. He leads Gonzaga in scoring (15.6) and assists (4.8).
