Area boys: Mac Isaak scores 20 points and Almira/Coulee-Hartline drops Republic in 1B

Mac Isaak scored 20 points and Almira/Coulee-Hartline (19-2), ranked eighth in state 1B in the latest WIAA RPI ratings, routed visiting Republic (8-13) 69-22 on Wednesday in the District 7 1B playoffs.

Gage Burchill scored 15 points, Charles Hunt had 14 and Payton Nielsen added 13 for ACH, which led 53-15 at halftime.

The Warriors move on into the district semifinals on Saturday at Deer Park HS against Wellpinit. The Tigers play in a loser-out against Inchelium on Saturday.

Wellpinit 73, Inchelium 43: Cedric Bowen scored 20 points and the visiting Redskins (16-4) advanced over the Hornets (10-10).

Steven Ford added 12 points and Brandon Flett scored 10 points for the Redskins, which jumped out to a 13-4 lead after the first quarter and led 33-15 at intermission.

McKennon Andrews led the Hornets with 12 points.

Nonleague

Genesee 46, Orofino 40: Trevor Stout scored 16 points and the Bulldogs (10-10) beat the visiting Maniacs (13-4).

Bayley Noah paced Orofino with 21 points.
