Modern day McCarthy

“At long last, have you no sense of decency?” These words were spoken by Joseph Welch during the 1954 Army-McCarthy hearings and directed at Sen. Joseph McCarthy, the anti-Communist demagogue of his time.

Today we are seeing the equivalent in Donald Trump. He stops at nothing to further provoke controversy and promote his brand of divisiveness. The inauguration only further has shown his inability to lead our nation. Given the opportunity to bring our fractured country together, he continued to distort, malign and insult. The protests that occurred all over the country, even the world, can only give us a ray of hope that he will continue to be exposed as one totally unfit for the office. We now can begin to believe that Trump has met his match, the people.

With threats of legal action hovering over his administration added to the voices of many concerned and fearful Americans, we will soon see his feet of clay begin to crumble, much as the Great Oz experienced when the curtain was pulled back, exposing him as a fraud.

Yes, it is true, he has no sense of decency. He only proves that he is a very large embarrassment.
