Enforce fines for businesses that don’t clear sidewalks

If the city needs more money to do a better job of clearing the streets, why not enforce fines for businesses not clearing the sidewalks in front of their buildings? I have witnessed mothers with young children and the elderly trying to navigate sidewalks of doctors’ and dentists’ offices, retirement homes and apartment complexes on 29th Avenue, where no attempt has been made to plow. One mother was into the street with a stroller!

They are to be fined if not cleared within 48 hours of a snow event. Is this being enforced? I will not support any business that I notice has not done the simple kind gesture of at least making an attempt to clear their sidewalks. I guess I’ll be looking for a new doctor.
