Better approach on abortion

Sue Lani Madsen has voiced a strong “no” to abortion. Here is what she is saying “yes” to: Interfering in a most personal and painful decision for any woman. Increasing the burden of too many babies for developing country women in poverty. Increasing the chance a young girl will be mistreated by parents for getting pregnant, or curtailing a young girl’s life dreams by having parents make her keep the baby. Increasing the deaths of girls who are desperate and use unsafe methods, and promoting births of kids not wanted or well cared for.

No one is requiring others to have an abortion. We would just like the respect of legality for those making this choice, with safety and accessibility nationwide.

A better approach would be to contribute money to contraception access for everyone, vote for taxes to support more sex education, donate to domestic violence homes and help sign up for foster care for hurting kids and adopt one of the babies, as my husband and I have.
