Valleyfest seeks candidates for Miss Spokane Valley

The Spokesman-Review

Young women living in Spokane Valley are invited to an information meeting about Miss Spokane Valley at noon Saturday at Panera Bread, 15716 E. Indiana Ave. Potential contestants must be sophomores or juniors in high school and are encouraged to bring parents or guardians to the meeting.

The judging for the pageant consists of a panel interview, a speech about “What does Spokane Valley mean to me?” and an onstage question, as well as the contestants’ display of a hobby or a talent.

Miss Spokane Valley and her court will represent the city at various community events this summer and receive a scholarship.

The pageant will be March 25 at 2 p.m. at CenterPlace, 2426 Discovery Place. An application must be submitted by March 3. Forms are available at www.valleyfest.org or by calling (509) 922-3299.
