Kudos to Lyle Ekness of Ekness Meats in Coeur d’Alene for his willingness to help. Lyle felt slighted when the Kootenai County Food Bank failed to contact him for a donation of meat to feet the needy during the recent subzero cold snap. Food bank officials didn’t want to bother him again because he had made previous donations. Nonsense, said Lyle, and contributed another 50 pounds of meat.
