Washington State women beat Oregon 75-59 to snap 6-game skid

EUGENE, Ore. – Chanelle Molina scored a career-high 20 points, Alexys Swedlund had 16 points and Washington State beat Oregon 75-59 on Sunday to snap a six-game losing streak.

Molina’s layup with 1:12 left in the third made it 61-46 and the Ducks never threatened in the final quarter.

Lexi Bando’s 3 and a free throw by Ruthy Hebard brought the Ducks within 27-23 with 6:32 left in the second quarter before Molina and Kayla Washington made back-to-back 3s.

Washington State (6-8, 1-2 Pac-12) led 41-34 at halftime but out of the break, Hebard and Justine Hall each made layups cutting the Ducks’ deficit to 3. The Cougars responded with a 13-3 run to make it 54-41.

Bando led Oregon with 19 points and Hebard had 14. Oregon shot just 19 for 52 (37 percent) from the floor. The Ducks played without Sabrina Ionescu, who averages 13.1 points, due to injury.
