Questions for Trump

At the risk of having Trump come after me for revenge, I have a couple of questions. What’s the deal with the “Russian Connection”? Trump is enamored with President Vladimir Putin and voiced his high admiration for Putin (a cruel and evil murderer), calling him a great leader, while at the same time he denigrated our president.

If that isn’t shameful enough, Trump then asked Russia to hack his former opponent’s email. So Russia did the hacking. Now the CIA has provided clear evidence that Putin ordered the hacking, and in doing so benefited Trump. But Trump rejects those findings, claiming there is no proof that Russia did anything wrong. Why does Trump reject the findings of a U.S. government agency in favor of a Russian denial?

Trump has now picked as secretary of state the chief executive officer of Exxon Mobil, a man with close financial ties to Russia (to the tune of billions of dollars), and to whom Putin awarded Russia’s highest national award. (We do remember Exxon Mobil, don’t we? Recall the gigantic Alaskan oil spill that has still never been completely cleaned up?) Trump sure seems extremely cozy with the Russians, don’t you think?
