Education Notebook: WV offers junior color guard clinic

West Valley High School’s Junior Color Guard Clinic begins Thursday with practice at 3:45 p.m.

Students in first through eighth grades are invited to participate in the clinic, which will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:45 p.m., Thursday through Jan. 24. Each practice lasts an hour.

After the Jan. 24 practice, the color guard will perform at a West Valley High School basketball game.

The clinic costs $25, which includes weekly instruction, snacks and bottled water at each practice, a performance T-shirt, a pizza dinner before the performance and admission to the basketball game.
