Area wrestling: Clayton Gilliam helps North Central down Rogers

North Central 49, Rogers 27: Clayton Gilliam (126), Kadin Shaw (132), Gavin Gies (145) and Garrett Mangis (182) earned wins by fall and the visiting Indians (2-3) topped the Pirates (0-4) in a Greater Spokane League dual meet.

Jordan Sweeney (220) and Kenny Phan (106) won matches for Rogers.

Mead 57, Ferris 6: Trevor Senn (182) won by technical fall to help the visiting Panthers (5-0) defeat the Saxons (2-3). Mead collected five pins and two technical falls in the win.

Chase Bunker (285) and Jack Byers (145) earned points for Ferris.

University 60, Gonzaga Prep 12: Matthew Evans (152) registered a pin in 9 seconds, Hunter Gregerson (170) and Trey Stannard (195) also won by fall in less than 1 minute, and the visiting Titans (4-1) routed the Bullpups (0-4).

Daniel Dougherty (138) and Drew Stephenson (145) earned wins for G-Prep.

Northeast A

Freeman 46, Medical Lake 21: State placer Logan Holt (126) defeated Bodhi Forbes 10-2 earning a major decision to help the visiting Scotties top the Cardinals in a duel meet. Colton Thiede (160) won by fall in 30 seconds and Nathan Werner (106) earned a pin in 56 seconds for Freeman.

Bradyn Petersen (132) and Justin Marnick (138) took wins for Medical Lake.
