HAILEY, Idaho (AP) – Authorities in Idaho are warning people to avoid a road in Blaine County after several avalanches were reported in the region.
KTVB-TV reports that the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office says at least five avalanches were reported in the Warm Springs Road area on Sunday night and Monday. The office also says wide swaths of unstable snow could create more slides.
The sheriff’s office says avalanche danger is high for mountain areas near Fairfield, Hailey, Stanley, Ketchum, Galena Summit and Smiley Creek.
