Area wrestling: Blake Haney earns pin and Mt. Spokane crushes Lewis and Clark

Mt. Spokane 60, Lewis and Clark 15: Jacob Carr, Jarret Sharp (113) and Blake Haney (120) earned pins in the first three matches and the Wildcats (7-0) crushed the visiting Tigers (0-6) in a Greater Spokane League meet on Thursday.

Steven Hansen (126) and Jake Howerton continued a string of five straight pins to start the match for Mt. Spokane.

Colville 52, Lakeside (WA) 21: Scout Walker (195) was one of five Colville wrestlers to record a pin as the visiting Indians defeated the Eagles in an Northeast A meet.

Walker pinned his opponent in 40 seconds with Kyron Ray (113), Tyler Baun (145), John Knight (160), and Thailor Morrison (170) also pinning their opponents.

Freeman 66, Riverside 12: Colton Thiede (160), Conner Fuchs (170) and Brandon Iris (182) all earned consecutive pins to lift the visiting Scotties over the Rams in a Northeast A meet.

Timberlake 39, Priest River 34: Caleb Miller (138) helped the Tigers defeat the visiting Spartans with a pin in only 1:13 seconds in the first round in an Intermountain League meet.

Riley DeMent (132), Noah Jamison (160) and Trevor Rusho (170) all earned pins for Priest River in less than one minute.
