Wrestling: Post Falls takes title at River City Duels

Jordan Grimm (113) won by fall and Braydon Huber (145) by major decision and Post Falls topped Columbia 39-25 in the Gold Championship duel meet of the River City Duels hosted by Post Falls.

The Trojans beat East Valley 63-21 in the first round of the championship bracket, then knocked off Kamiakin 52-30 to reach the final.

Lakeland finished third in the Gold Championship and Freeman took seventh by beating West Valley.

Rocky Mountain Classic

Led by Chase Tebbets (113) and Trevor Senn (182) taking second individually, Mead finished second in the team standings at the Rocky Mountain Classic in Missoula.

Casey Randels (182) of Coeur d’Alene was the only local wrestler to take an individual title. Spencer Clegg (126) from Clarkston took second place, while Alex Marshall from Coeur d’Alene was also a runner-up. Mead’s Collin Grosse (285) finished third.

Coeur d’Alene was 11th overall, followed by Central Valley (15), Clarkston (20), Ferris (T-22) and Lake City (T-22).
