Area girls: Riley Denton scores 20 points and Clarkston downed Pullman

Riley Denton scored 20 points and Clarkston (9-7, 6-4) downed Pullman (3-13, 0-8) 63-49 on Wednesday in Great Northern League play.

Mickayla Jackson added 14 points for Clarkston, which used a 15-7 third-quarter run to jump on top and a 20-14 fourth quarter to pull away.

Rian Clear led Pullman with 11 points while Kelsey Nestegard and Carolena Sears added 10 points apiece.

St. John-Endicott 64, Prescott 40: Drew Brewer scored 14 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, had four assists and five steals to help the Eagles (2-14, 2-8) defeat the Tigers (0-13, 0-9) in Southeast 1B action.

Riley Lamb added 12 points and Kierstyn Ray had nine points with nine rebounds for SJ-E, which extended a lead with a 16-7 third-quarter run.

Briseida Ayala led Prescott with 19 points.

Genesis Prep 52, Kootenai 33: Bella Murekatete scored 20 points and the visiting Jaguars (9-4, 5-1) handled the Warriors (6-7, 2-4).

Rachel Schroeder added 19 points for Genesis Prep, which limited Kootenai to single digits in the final three quarters.

Paxton Dotson led Kootenai with 11 points, while Kennedy LaFountaine scored seven points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Warriors.
