Eddy N. Grant, 21, was driving his Toyota Sienna south on Highway 27 approaching Dishman Mica Road just before 3 a.m. when he missed a curve and went off the road, hitting several trees, according to the Washington State Patrol. The car then burst into flames.
Grant was driving under the influence and will be charged with two counts of vehicular homicide, the WSP said.
Both of the passengers died at the scene. They have been identified as Taylor J. Parkins, 20, of Spokane Valley and Raymond M. Madrid, 21, also of Spokane Valley.
