Spokane Shadow women score 4-0 victory

Callie Best scored Spokane’s first goal, added an assist and the Shadow Women’s First Team took a 4-0 victory over Washington Premier South Sound on Sunday at the Polo Grounds.

Kaelyn Barnes, Kelsey Crosby and Bridget Rieken all added goals and Katie Greene collected an assist for the Shadow, who moved into second place behind the Seattle Stars in the Northwest Premier League.

The Shadow (7-1-0) are three points back of Seattle (8-1-0) but have a game in hand. The top two teams gain byes to the semifinals of the six-team playoffs.

The Shadow 2 men’s team got a hat trick from Christian Haas and another goal from Jose Gonzalez for a 4-0 EPLWA win over WPSS at the Polo Grounds.
