A child died in a car crash on eastbound Interstate 90 near Kingston, Idaho Wednesday afternoon, according to the Idaho State Police.
The crash occurred just before 2 p.m. A Nissan Murano driven by 36-year-old Heather K. Scott-Mason of Clatskanie, Oregon, was going east when she lost control of her car, over corrected and rolled. The vehicle came to a stop on its right passenger side, the ISP said.
Scott-Mason and another juvenile, who were both wearing seat belts, were taken to Shoshone Medical in Kellogg. ISP said it is unknown if the juvenile who died at the scene was wearing a seat belt.
The freeway was blocked for about four hours while the crash was investigated.
