McDonald’s offers free vanilla cones Sunday

McDonald’s is giving away free vanilla soft-serve cones on Sunday for National Ice Cream Day.

The free cone offer is only available through the McDonald’s app. To redeem it, customers must download the mobile app.

One customer will receive a special “Golden Arches Cone,” entitling the winner to McDonald’s soft-serve for life. For a chance to win that prize, guests must redeem the offer in the app between 2 and 5 p.m. July 16.

McDonald’s vanilla soft-serve is now made with no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. It’s also part of 60 percent of the desserts served at McDonald’s, including McCafé shakes and McFlurries.

McDonald’s has more than 14,000 stores nationwide and serves more than 25 million customers daily in the U.S.
