Showcase athletes, celebrities will team up again for cancer fundraiser

The Showcase, which has raised $5.8 million in its first three years for the Community Cancer Fund’s fight against cancer in the Inland Northwest, returns to the Coeur d’Alene Resort Golf Course on July 28-29.

Those expected to participate include Mark Rypien, former Washington State quarterback and MVP of Super Bowl XXVI; Gonzaga coach Mark Few and former Bulldogs star Adam Morrison; actor/director Alfonso Ribeiro; Grant Fuhr, former NHL goalie; Bruce Bowen, former NBA player; Mark Grace and Fred McGriff, ex-Major League Baseball players; and Neil Lomax and Ryan Longwell, former NFL players.

The Showcase Celeb-Am 18-hole golf outing takes place July 28, followed by Darius Rucker performing at the 19th Hole Party. The Showcase nine-hole event is July 29, followed by the “Summer Bash” on Lake Coeur d’Alene. The artist has yet to be announced.
