Police investigate dog shooting in Olympia

A dog ended up with a gunshot wound in Olympia’s Eastside neighborhood, and Olympia Police want to know how that happened.

The incident was reported in the 1900 block of Union Avenue Southeast at 8:02 a.m. Saturday.

“It turned into a dispute between two neighbors,” Olympia Police Lt. Paul Lower said. “Right now, we don’t have an idea who shot the dog. We’re investigating it.”

The dog received veterinary care, but its condition was unknown on Saturday afternoon, Lower said.
