Derek Bayley falls in championship match of PNGA Amateur

Washington State University senior Derek Bayley battled back from three down but couldn’t complete the comeback Saturday in the in 36-hole championship match of the PNGA Amateur.

Calgary’s Emmett Oh, who played at the University of Houston, birdied the last hole for a 1-up victory at Emerald Valley Golf and Resort in Creswell, Oregon.

Bayley was one down after the opening 18 holes. He won Nos. 32 and 33 to tie the match.
