Buddy Boeheim, son of Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim, has been offered a scholarship by Gonzaga.

The 6-foot-5 guard announced the offer on his twitter account with pictures of the Bulldog logo and coach Mark Few holding a trophy.

Boeheim is expected to attend Brewster Academy in New Hampshire in 2017-18 for his final year of high school. The powerhouse program lists seven graduates who have played in the NBA.

Boeheim had a strong effort last weekend at the Nike Peach Jam tournament in South Carolina. He made 16 of 28 3-pointers and shot 55 percent from the field.

“It (Syracuse) is a dream school, if I’m good enough to play there that’s definitely what I’m going to do,” Boeheim told Syracuse.com in June. “But I also have to look at other options, see what’s best for me and where I’ll fit in with the systems.”

Few and Jim Boeheim became good friends after meeting on Nike coaches trips. Both have opted to stay at their respective schools and have compiled impressive win-loss records. Mark and Marcy Few and Jim and Juli Boeheim have assisted with each other’s Coaches vs. Cancer events.
