Woman dies in Cheney rollover crash

By Abby Lynes The Spokesman-Review

A woman died Friday in a one-vehicle rollover crash on a gravel road near Cheney.

Responders were unable to find a pulse on the woman, according to a Spokane County Sheriff’s Office news release. Attempts to resuscitate her were unsuccessful.

Officers believe the driver was headed north at about 7 p.m. in the 18500 block of South Graham Road, when the 2000 Jeep Cherokee she was driving fishtailed and rolled over off the road, the Sheriff’s Office said. She was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car.

Speed and a lack of a seat belt were major factors in the crash, the Sheriff’s Office reported. The name of the driver has not been released.
