Grenada airport, businesses reopen as tropical storm fizzles

Associated Press

ST. GEORGE’S, Grenada – Grenada’s airport and businesses have reopened with authorities reporting no damage or flooding from Tropical Storm Don.

The National Disaster Management Agency says the eastern Caribbean island did not get hit with much rain as the storm rolled through the region.

The U.S. National Hurricane Center says Don has now dissipated.

Meanwhile in the Pacific, two storms have weakened far out over open water.

The center said Hurricane Fernanda was located about 1,330 miles east of Hilo, Hawaii, on Wednesday. It had winds of 90 mph and was moving northwest at 9 mph.

Tropical Storm Greg was about 550 miles southwest of the Manzanillo, Mexico, with winds of 45 mph. It was moving west at 10 mph.
