By Abby Lynes The Spokesman-Review

The woman who died in a one-vehicle rollover crash near Cheney on Friday has been identified as Bobbie Jo McKee, according to a news release sent out by the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office. She was 49 years old.

Officers believe McKee was headed north at about 7 p.m. in the 18500 block of South Graham Road, when the 2000 Jeep Cherokee she was driving fishtailed and rolled over off the road, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. She was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car.

Responders were unable to find a pulse on McKee, according to the Sheriff’s office. The Medical Examiner’s office said she suffered multiple rib fractures due to a crush injury to the chest. Attempts to resuscitate her were unsuccessful.

Speed and a lack of a seat belt were major factors in the crash, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
