Four juveniles were injured in a crash early Sunday morning, according to a Washington State Patrol news release.
The driver of the vehicle – a 2001 red Mercury Sable – fell asleep while traveling on Interstate 90, according to the release. The driver then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to leave the interstate just east of milepost 261.
The vehicle rolled and came to rest on its top, ejecting one unrestrained passengers. A second unrestrained passenger remained in the vehicle but sustained serious injuries.
Three of the juveniles were transported by ambulance to Sacred Heart Medical Center. One was airlifted to the center, the release said.
It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol were involved at this time.
