Recaps for the Seattle Mariners top affiliates for Friday provided by team releases and wire reports.

Fresno 4, Tacoma (AAA) 1

FRESNO, Calif. – Casey Coleman allowed just two hits over six innings, leading the Fresno Grizzlies (25-30) over the Tacoma Rainiers (31-22) in a 4-1 win on Friday.

Coleman allowed one run while striking out seven and walking two.

Tacoma started the scoring in the first inning. After leading off the inning with a single, Leonys Martin advanced to second on a balk and then scored on a single by Zach Shank.

After tying the game in the third, the Grizzlies took the lead for good with three runs in the seventh inning. Reid Brignac hit a two-run home run and Jon Kemmer hit a solo home run en route to the three-run lead.

Kevin Comer (2-1) got the win with two innings of scoreless relief while Tacoma starter Chase De Jong (2-3) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game. Jordan Jankowski retired the side in order for his fifth save of the season.

With the win, Fresno improved to 4-2 against Tacoma this season.

Arkansas (AA)

The Travelers game against the Frisco RoughRiders was rained out. The teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday at 5:05 p.m.

Modesto (High-A)

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – Brennon Lund homered and had two hits, and Jesus Castillo pitched five scoreless innings as the Inland Empire 66ers topped the Modesto Nuts 7-2 on Friday.

Castillo (2-1) picked up the win after he struck out five and walked one while allowing two hits.

Inland Empire started the scoring in the first inning. After hitting a double, Lund scored on a single by Taylor Ward.

After Inland Empire added two runs in the third, the Nuts cut into the deficit in the sixth inning when Joey Curletta hit a two-run home run.

The 66ers later added two runs in both the sixth and eighth innings. In the sixth, Jose Rojas hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Jared Walsh, while Rojas and Jake Yacinich hit RBI singles in the eighth.

Nick Neidert (5-1) went five innings, allowing three runs and seven hits while striking out four in the California League game.

Clinton (Low-A)

CLINTON, Iowa – Yojhan Quevedo hit a run-scoring single in the first inning, leading the Clinton LumberKings to a 4-1 win over the Peoria Chiefs on Friday.

Rayder Ascanio scored on the play to give the LumberKings a 1-0 lead after he led off the inning with a double and stole third.

After Clinton added three runs, the Chiefs cut into the deficit in the ninth inning when Vince Jackson hit an RBI single, scoring J.R. Davis.

Danny Garcia (5-4) got the win in relief while Peoria starter Ian Oxnevad (0-6) took the loss in the Midwest League game. Jack Anderson recorded his first save of the season.
