Spokane Youth Sports Awards to be announced Monday

Many of the best high school athletes in eastern Washington will be celebrated Monday at the third annual Spokane Youth Sports Awards event.

The top male and female athletes along with the coach of the year are among 10 awards that will be handed out.

It all begins at 6 at the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox. SWX will be taping the show that will be aired at a later date.

The Spokane Sports Commission sponsors the event in partnership with SWX and The Fitz Basketball Tournament.

Red-carpet arrivals begin an hour before the ceremony begins.
