Kootenai County Sheriff’s deputies arrest car thieves, seize numerous stolen items

Kootenai County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two suspected car thieves Saturday with numerous stolen items in their possession.

Tanner D. Flowerdew, 26, and Tesandra D. Graupman, 34, were taken into custody near the intersection of N. Lakeview Drive and E. Miles Avenue at about 9 p.m. after deputies stopped the vehicle, which had its license plates removed, according to a sheriff’s news release. The deputy apparently recognized the driver as a suspect in the vehicle theft.

While searching the car, deputies located numerous stolen items, including checks and credit cards linked to previous burglaries in Coeur d’Alene, the release states. The vehicle and the stolen property were seized.

Deputies are recommending charges of stolen vehicle, possession of stolen financial card and possession of paraphernalia, among other charges. Flowerdew and Graupman have multiple prior arrests in Kootenai County.
