Recaps for the Seattle Mariners top affiliates for Friday provided by team releases and wire reports.

Tacoma (AAA) 13, Reno 6

RENO, Nev. – Tyler O’Neill hit two home runs and drove in seven runs, as the Tacoma Rainiers (38-34) defeated the Reno Aces (46-28) 13-6 on Friday.

The home runs by O’Neill, both two-run shots, came in the fourth off Aaron Laffey and in the ninth off Louis Coleman. D.J. Peterson singled four times, scoring three runs in the win.

Jonathan Aro (2-0) got the win with 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief while Reno starter Laffey (4-1) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game.

Oswaldo Arcia homered, doubled and singled, driving in two runs for the Aces. Kristopher Negron tripled twice, scoring two runs.

Despite the loss, Reno is 4-2 against Tacoma this season.

Springfield 6, Arkansas (AA) 4

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Gabriel Lino hit a two-run double in the seventh inning, leading the Springfield Cardinals (37-37) to a 6-4 win over the Arkansas Travelers (33-41) on Friday.

Corey Baker got Ian Miller to fly out with runners on first and second to end the game for his third save of the season.

The double by Lino, part of a three-run inning, gave the Cardinals a 4-2 lead before Magneuris Sierra hit an RBI double later in the inning.

The Cardinals tacked on another run in the eighth when Jose Adolis Garcia hit an RBI double, scoring Oscar Mercado.

Arkansas saw its comeback attempt come up short after Ryan Casteel hit a solo home run and Nelson Ward hit an RBI single in the ninth to cut the Springfield lead to 6-4.

Starter Matt Pearce (7-5) got the win while Blake Perry (1-2) took the loss in relief in the Texas League game.

Casteel homered and doubled, driving home two runs for the Travelers.

Modesto (High-A) 5, Stockton 3

STOCKTON, Calif. – Willie Argo was a triple short of the cycle, driving in four runs as the Modesto Nuts (40-32) beat the Stockton Ports (37-35) 5-3 on Friday.

Logan Taylor homered and doubled with two runs for Modesto.

Stockton cut the deficit to 2-1 in the seventh after Sandber Pimentel hit a solo home run.

Modesto answered in the next half-inning when Argo hit a three-run home run.

The Ports saw their comeback attempt come up short after Brett Siddall hit a two-run home run in the ninth inning to cut the Modesto lead to 5-3.

Marvin Gorgas (1-0) got the win with two innings of scoreless, three-hit relief while Stockton starter Dalton Sawyer (0-1) took the loss in the California League game.

Beloit 8, Clinton (Low-A) 1

CLINTON, Iowa – Eric Marinez hit a two-run home run and had three hits, driving in three, and Matt Milburn struck out 12 hitters over seven innings as the Beloit Snappers (33-38) topped the Clinton LumberKings (32-37) 8-1 on Friday.

Milburn (3-5) picked up the win after he walked one while allowing one run and three hits.

Beloit went up 4-0 in the third after Trace Loehr hit an RBI single and then scored on a two-run home run by Marinez.

The LumberKings cut into the deficit in the sixth inning when Bryson Brigman hit an RBI double, bringing home Dimas Ojeda.

The Snappers later added a run in the seventh and three in the ninth to punctuate the blowout.

Ljay Newsome (4-7) went three innings, allowing four runs and five hits while striking out three in the Midwest League game.

Tri-City 5, Everett (Short-A) 4

PASCO, Wash. – Tre Carter hit a walk-off single with two outs in the ninth inning, as the Tri-City Dust Devils (8-1) topped the Everett AquaSox (3-6) 5-4 on Friday.

Luis Almanzar scored the game-winning run after he reached base with a single and stole second.

The Dust Devils tied the game 4-4 in the bottom of the eighth when Chandler Seagle hit an RBI single, scoring Jalen Washington as part of a two-run inning.

The Dust Devils had three relievers combine to throw 4 2/3 scoreless innings in the victory. Evan Miller (1-0) got the win with a scoreless inning in relief while David Ellingson (0-1) took the loss in the Northwest League game.

Onil Pena doubled twice and singled for the AquaSox.
