Fagan should apologize

I read a story in The Spokesman-Review about a rally held in support of Donald Trump. In the article, Mike Fagan was quoted as saying, “The Democrats are planning an all-out effort of mayhem and destruction.”

If that is in fact what he said, then as a Democratic voter, I’m appalled and offended. If he truly believes that statement, I question his ability to continue as a responsible member of the Spokane City Council. It’s one thing to have differences of opinion with people who vote for a party you don’t represent, and entirely another to make false and inflammatory remarks concerning those people in public.

I ask that Fagan issue a public retraction of and apology for the statement, if it’s true.
