Whitworth Pirates take rubber game from Puget Sound Loggers in baseball

Daniel Casanova and Jacob Silva each drove in two runs and the Whitworth Pirates (14-10, 6-9) used a four-run top of the seventh inning to post a 6-2 win over the Puget Sound Loggers (9-12, 5-7) on Monday in the rubber game of a three-game Northwest Conference baseball series.

Matthew Young (3-2) picked up the victory for the Pirates. Young allowed two runs on four hits over seven innings of work. He fanned six batters. Kelly Fitzpatrick got the final two outs for his third save of the season.
