Blues Festival brings top talent to Coeur d’Alene Resort

For one weekend every year, Coeur d’Alene becomes a hotspot for both blues fans and musicians as the Coeur d’Alene Resort hosts the Coeur d’Alene Blues Festival.

This weekend, the resort will once again welcome some of the nation’s greatest blues musicians, including “The Voice” finalist Laith Al-Saadi, as part of the festival’s eighth year, which runs Friday through Sunday.

Joining Al-Saadi in the resort’s convention center are the Stacy Jones Band, the Ty Curtis Band, Robin Barrett & Coyote Kings, and the Sara Brown Band.

The Bobby Patterson Band and Kenny James Miller Band will perform on the Blues Cruise Friday, with the Bobby Patterson Band performing again on Saturday’s cruise. Charlie Butts and the Filter Tips will provide the entertainment at the After Blues Cruise Party at the The Resort Plaza Shops; the High Risk Group will perform at the Roof Top Blues Party; and Robb Boatsmen and Doghouse Boyz will hit the stage in Whispers Lounge.

On Sunday, join the Joyous Praise Gospel Trio, featuring Elisha J. Mitchell, at the Gospel Brunch at Dockside Restaurant. Or get your brunch fix in on the boat with an acoustic performance from the Ty Curtis Band at the Blues Cruise Brunch.

The resort is offering a special weekend package, with the chance to add a VIP Blues Festival upgrade, which includes a meet-and-greet with performers and reserved VIP seating. Saturday-only tickets are also available.
